At Antiform we are proud to use waste materials in the production of our brilliant collections. What happens when we have off cuts ourselves that are too small to be used as collars, cuffs or panels?
We go on a hunt, that’s what. We find small local handmaking businesses who can make good use of our fabrics which have either been made in UK mills or are fabrics that have made their way to the UK having been over ordered elsewhere.
Since moving to Bristol we’ve found a fantastic designer maker of the most adorable slip on baby shoes. Serendipitously our scrap is the perfect size for Cuteefeet to elasticate and sew into these perfect new baby gift ideas. It’s so satisfying to be able to pass on such varied and colourful scrap fabric into such a clever design solution which is just around the corner from our studio!
It’s so exciting to see our Hot Pink Folk Dress fabric reimagined in miniature shoe form and we still can’t choose a favourite from the sparkly disco slippers. Each design is fully reversible so baby (and their personal stylist) can pick and choose the colour and pattern to fit the costume change. With spring in the air we have no shortage of tiny new friends to bestow these treats upon – which makes the decision of which is the nicest even more impossible!
Find Cuteefeet on Facebook and ask Sue about sizing and even bespoke colour combinations.
